Help! I've taken signed a contract and I can't act.

Who thought Mariah Carey could act? Beyond that obvious question, who thought she would be able to interact with the other cast member? the real actors mind you. She is the Val Kilmer of acting. Any casting agent or director should know you do not, ever, throw a self-absorbed, egotistical, white trailer trash pop singer as Mariah Carey, in with acting professionals who are there to do one thing and one thing only: make a movie. They are not concerned with what water Mariah demands, what side of her face she should be photographed from, what type of make-up, soda, drugs, how many people she needs to be behind her telling her she is great, clothing, cars, trailers or ass kissers she needs! They do not care about YOU, Mariah, let it go. All you really have is a high pitched voice, a couple of flattering photos and that is it. You've pretty much used up your 15 minutes of fame, and unfortunately, you have now begun to eat into someone else's time.

I do not blame Mariah for her "acting", or even being cast in Glitter or any other movie doomed by her presence. She believes what other people tell her. "Oh Miss Carey you are wonderful......Miss Carey that scene was amazing, you are a natural." Right, tell that to Mira Sorvino. Rumors have it that she wanted to slap the crap out of our little diva. And, little should be used very loosely. Have you SEEN Mariah from the side? Looks like she has two Jennifer Lopez's stashed away under her dress.

What it all comes down to is the Lime Light. All of these cross-over entertainers thinking they can do everything. Actors thinking they can sing, singers thinking they can act, tennis players thinking they can act, boxers thinking they can sing, weather men thinking they can do in-depth reporting, cooks thinking they can have a sitcom. Stop it! I can understand them trying to live out their own childhood fantasies and make all of their dreams come true, but alas. As you see from our poor lost soul, and as of late, lost her mind, Mariah Carey, some of them can't take the pressure of failing. And fail, she did. Know your limitations

So stick with what you know, and with Miss Carey, that ain't much.
