NARC

Where to start? That is an excellent question, and if you've already seen NARC you agree with me. Once you view this Indie film, and I suggest you do, you'll know what I'm talking about. NARC entrenches you into the life, the torment and the never ending guessing game undercover narcotics officers go though day in and day out. Who is the good guy, where in God's name is the bad guy, and who can or should you believe?

Ray Liotta plays Detective Henry Oak, a troubled, high-strung detective still coping with the death, murder, of his partner. Jason Patric, playing an undercover narcotics officer stripped of his badge, is called back to duty to solve the murder do to his extensive knowledge of the streets, drug users and his long list of contacts. The story begins to unravel, as Patric's character finds information pointing him in the one direction he never thought possible.

Along with Ray Liotta and Jason Patric is Chi McBride, of Boston Public, and Busta Rhymes. This film, albeit brutally graphic, is an amazing looking-glass into the life and situations that undercover officers put them through and in, every day. NARC shows you just how far an officer will go for a case, even if it means entrenching himself so deeply into his cover, that he gets swept away and carried downstream of drug dependancy along with the same people he is there to bust.

If you are a fan of the film Traffic, see NARC. You'll not only

fall in love with Ray Liotta all over again, it is a true motion picture. Acting, writing, and a real story.
