Men In Black II

Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith reclaim their roles as Agent K and J in the soon to be released Men In Black II.

The movie started off with an inventive television show, hosted by Peter Graves (Mr. Phellps on original Mission Impossible show) documenting the rumors of special agents protecting the earth from aliens: The Men In Black. From there, it stayed a steady and even line of interesting FX, new gadgets and a deeper look into the lore and history of The Men In Black. However, as the commercials have lead on, Agent K, after being neuralized, is now, deneuralized and returns to MIB. This is where the Agent J turns for the worst. After Agent K's return, Will Smith's character becomes this bumbling, novice agent we witnessed in part 1. Why? I have no idea.

On the other side of the agent coin, the Tommy Lee Jones' character, to this reviewer, showed little if no feelings or emotions to his "new" surroundings. Here is a man that had his memory erased, placed back into society for 5 years, and after being returned to the MIB, made no visible acclimation back to MIB. I understand that his character is "all business" but let's lift that protocol just a bit, shall we.

Laura Flynn Boyle was an interesting addition into the mix. Playing a space diva looking to wreak havoc on earth, she completes some of the newly revealed history between herself and the MIB.

To warn you ahead of time, there is a cameo by Michael Jackson. I guess there are no child stars in town.

In all, see the movie if you are a fan. Good action, good information and Laura Flynn Boyle isn't too bad to look at either.

Pro: Funny as hell, revealed history of the MIB and the worms are always fun to see.

Con: Ending just kinda happened, Agent J needs an adjustment
