THE MATRIX: RELOADED

Neo, Morpheus, Trinity and the rebellion return to the struggle against the machines that have enslaved the human race in The Matrix. This turn around we are allowed to enter into the world of Zion, the last stomping ground for humans, and see how they live, view their government and interestingly enough, realize not everyone is hell bent to put all their trust in the so-called “One”. Struggles within the ranks of the military coupled with a disbelief of the oracle and what she predicts, fuels Morpheus and his quest to bring the prophecy to life.

The Matrix Reloaded proved to be a wondrous event, to far exceed what The Matrix accomplished just a few short years ago. To some extent, Reloaded did offer much more than its little brother. With more information about The Matrix itself,
its creator and the history of the One and its role in resurfacing the banished humans, one would think that all of this, joined together with the same breath taking fighting scenes would leave us bright-eyed and begging for more. Alas, it did not.

I found Reloaded to fall into the same pothole, as did Jurassic Park 2. The producers figured if the viewer’s loved the Raptors so much, let’s put even more into the next movie; but we all know how that turned out. The same holds true to Reloaded. With far too many fight scenes that seemed to go on to the point just before you turned to your buddy and said: “What the hell is going on here,” they finally ended. We know Neo can fight, we’ve seenit all before, there’s no need to try and impress us. NOTE: This of course is for the people who watch The Matrix for the story line as well, and not just the fight scenes. If you are one of the many cavemen who simply like to sit in your seat and say “Oh, look at the big men fight,” well then, all the more power to you. You can stop reading now.

I believe that this movie is worth watching, but they attempted to add too much too quick and still tried to offer “The Matrix” style of action. And I am still trying to figure out why Jada Pinkett-Smith was included in the cast. Hmm, go figure.
