American Wedding

The latest, and last installment of the American Pie movies, proves to be the funniest of the lot. From the very first five minutes where Eugene Levy's character is sitting and talking to his son (Jason Biggs) at a fancy restaurant all the while his soon to be wife (Alyson Hannigan) is under the table servicing her fiance, American Wedding returns you to the sick and twisted humor you loved in American Pie.

Biggs, Scott, Thomas and of course Levy, deliver on the laughs without losing the story line or allowing themselves to be bogged down with just sex jokes. Eugene Levy is a favorite of mine, and his history goes far beyond the American Pie movies. Mr. Levy has been around since the 70's, starring in SCTV, a comedy sketch show that came out around the same time as Saturday Night Live. If you think Levy is funny in the Pie movies, get your hands on SCTV, you won't be sorry.

If you enjoyed the first two movies, see American Wedding. It won't teach you the meaning of life, but it'll sure teach you to laugh at it.
