50 FIRST DATES

Sandler plays a veterinarian, Henry Roth, at an aquarium in Hawaii who falls in love with local beauty Lucy (Barrymore), who suffers short-term memory loss. Roth is forced to make Lucy fall in love him everyday since she never remembers the last time she met him. In the end, he wins her heart while he continues to introduce himself each day even after they have a daughter together.

To begin with, I was skeptical in seeing this film. I was not interested in seeing another "Sandler & Friends" movie. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the chemistry that was present between Sandler and Barrymore in The Wedding Singer seemed to be alive and well in 50 First Dates.

Sandler played his usual calm, shy, and sometimes loud, crazy, hilarious self, while Barrymore, reached a bit deeper into her funny bag and pulled out a winner. If you just want to release, not think of much for 2 hours, this movie is for you.
